- Indian Independence Act: Passed in 1947, this act led to the partition of India but was not responsible for the creation of the Constituent Assembly.
- Cabinet Mission Plan: Announced in 1946, it aimed to discuss the transfer of power from British to Indian leadership and led to the formation of the Constituent Assembly to draft the Indian Constitution.
