Indian weightlifter Martina Devi Maibam clinched two silver medals and a bronze in the junior 87+kg category at the Asian Junior Weightlifting Championships in Doha, Qatar, on Wednesday( 25 December 2024).

• The 18-year-old from Manipur lifted a total of 225kg (96kg snatch, 129kg clean and jerk), securing silver for her total and clean and jerk, and bronze for her snatch.
• With Martina’s three medals, India concluded the junior competition with 12 medals: 8 silver and 4 bronze.
• Medals were awarded separately for snatch, clean and jerk, and total lift in the championships.
