Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr L.Murugan has said that the Central Government will stand as a support to the film industry.

• Inaugurating the Sanskrit Short Film Festival in Chennai on Saturday (27th January2024), the Minister said that it was encouraging to see the growing interest in this particular field.
• The Minister said that the Government was keen on encouraging talents in lesser-known areas of Indian culture. He said that the Government will support films based on Indian culture.
• He said that it was a matter of honour to know that the post-production of internationally acclaimed films are being done in India.
