Jeremy Lalrinnunga has become the 2nd Indian weightlifter to clinch the gold medal at Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2022. The 19-year-old lifted a total weight of 300kg to finish at the top.

• He was in discomfort during his first clean and jerk attempt but completed the lift of 154kg successfully to jump to the top spot.
• In the 2nd attempt, he successfully lifted 160kg despite having some back issues. As per the commentators, he was dealing with cramps during the lift. His attempt of 160kg saw him complete a total lift of 300kg.
