Twin seater twin engine Su-30MKI multi role fighter aircraft developed by Russian company Sukhoi is the backbone of Indian Air Force. While the first 50 aircraft were built in Russia the rest 222 are being built in India under license by HAL. Inducted in 2002 Su-30MKI is IAF's primary air to air and air to ground strike machine. It has a top speed of 2120 kmph and maximum takeoff weight of 38,800 kg.
