CITES or Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species has framed International laws to be applicable worldwide. These laws protect endangered species and limit the illicit trade in wildlife, in their body parts and products derived by killing them across the world. International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is a membership union uniquely composed of both government and civil society organisations. It provides public, private and nongovernmental organisations with the knowledge and tools that enable human progress, economic development and nature conservation to take place together.

CITES was drafted as a result of a resolution adopted in 1963 at a meeting of members of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).CITES entered into force in July 1975.

Please verify: Ramsar Convention is different from CITES. Ramsar Convention was signed in 1971 in Iran whereas CITES was signed in 1973 in Washington DC. Hence answer should be option A.
