The State Government of Telangana and World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Centre for Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) Network announced the launch of drone-delivery project called ‘Medicine from the Sky’.

• It is an innovative project to deliver emergency medical supplies like blood and vaccines by using drones.
• It will help facilitate decision-making in healthcare supply chains.
• It will focus on last-mile deliveries for augmenting national healthcare programme.
• It will address issues that affect medical distribution system.

The Telangana government, World Economic Forum and Health Net Global signed an agreement for project to be supervised and managed by leaders in field of medicine, technology and research.
