There are several states in India which have laws banning unregulated deposit schemes. However, there are various differences that exist within these state laws. The Ordinance aims to tackle the problem of unregulated deposit schemes by creating a law that will be enforced all over India. Anyone found guilty of committing an offence under the Ordinance will also have to face a penalty.
