Explanation:

Article 370 in the Constitution defines special provisions enjoyed by Jammu and Kashmir. According to Article 370(d) Most of the provisions in the Constitution can be applied to the state with such exceptions and modifications as specified by the President in consultation with the state government or with the concurrence of the state government. The article also grant power to Parliament to legislate on matters in Union and Concurrent list which correspond to that specified in the Instrument of Accession. These are external affairs, defence, communication and ancillary matters.
