These two institutions, the National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management in Kundli, Haryana and the Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu are separate autonomous institutions. They are registered as Societies under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Bill declares these two institutions as National Institutes of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management.
