Akshaya Patra Foundation is a Bengaluru-based not-for-profit organisation Funded by International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). Akshaya Patra began working towards it’s goal from June 2000. The Foundation is into implementing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme, an initiative of Government of India. Akshaya Patra implements this Scheme in a Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) operating model. This non-profit organisation in India feeds 1.4 million children in 10,770 Government schools spread across 24 locations in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Odisha, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh,Tamil Nadu and Telangana.
