The Indian Air Force has released radar images as irrefutable evidence to confirm that Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman's Mig 21 Bison had shot down Pakistan’s F-16 fighter jet during the aerial confrontation on 27th February in the Nowshera sector near the Line of Control. The F-16 crashed and fell across the Line of Control in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Indian Army posts in the vicinity of the LoC also visually sighted two separate parachutes.
