BOLD-QIT (Border Electronically Dominated QRT Interception Technique) is a boundary monitoring system that installs technical systems under the CIBMS (Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System) programme.
It was scheduled to be established on India- Bangladesh border in Dhubri district of Assam.
Since, Border Security Forces (BSF) is responsible for safeguarding 4,096 km long International Border with Bangladesh, it enables BSF to equip Indo-Bangla borders with different kinds of sensors in the unfenced riverine area of Brahmaputra and its tributaries.
It is built on the basis of security on the border similar to that of Israel.
In September 2018, Union Home Ministry had inaugurated two similar smart fencing pilot projects of five-kilometres each on India- Pakistan international border in Jammu.
