The first lot of an estimated 7.5 lakh AK-203 rifles is expected to roll out from Korwa ordinance factory in Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh unit later this year and eventually replace INSAS rifles being used by the Army and Paramilitary forces . AK-203 is the latest and most advanced version of the legendary AK-47 rifle which is considered as the most reliable firearm in its category. The magazine of AK-203 assault rifle can hold 30 bullets . It has an effective range of 400 metres and considered to be 100 % accurate.
