The Third Anglo-Mysore war was fought between the troops of Tippu Sultan on one side and the Combined armies of the Marathas, The British and the Nawab on the other. Tippu’s campaign against the Raja of Travancore became the immediate cause for the war, and the British quickly took the Raja’s side. Tippu was defeated and the war ended with the Signing of Treaty of Srirangapatna. The terms of the treaty laid the seeds of Fourth Anglo-Mysore War
