M.G. Ranade: In 1887 he founded the Indian National Social Conference, whose meetings were concurrent with the annual Congress sessions. In 1890 he inaugurated the Industrial Association of Western India, having come to the conclusion that a constructive solution to India's problems lay in a vigorous policy of industrial and commercial development. G. K. Gokhale: The Servants of India Society was formed in Pune, Maharashtra, on June 12, 1905 by Gopal Krishna Gokhale, who left the Deccan Education Society to form this association.The Society organized many campaigns to promote education, sanitation, health care and fight the social evils of untouchability and discrimination, alcoholism, poverty, oppression of women and domestic abuse. The publication of The Hitavada, the organ of the Society in English from Nagpur commenced in 1911. N. M. Joshi: in 1911, N. M. Joshi started the Social service league to work for the welfare of society, it established many schools, clinics and libraries.
