India has a large and complex land border of more than 15000 KM and coastline of more than 7500 KMs. There are several challenges faced by security forces in management of border areas. Now the govt has identified areas for the use of space technology in improving border management . This will be implemented in five years to use space resources for Security , operational planning and border infrastructure development . ISRO will also launch a satellite for exclusive use of Ministry of Home Affairs.
