Zoramthanga : Chief of Mizo National Front (MNF) Zoramthanga was sworn in as the chief minister of Mizoram. This is third time that Zoramthanga took oath as the chief minister of Mizoram.

Bhupesh Baghel : Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel took oath as the chief minister of Chhattisgarh. Governor Anandiben Patel administered the oath of office to Bhupesh Baghel at Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Raipur. The Congress registered a resounding victory in Chhattisgarh, winning 68 seats as opposed to the BJP's 15.
