Reasons for Frequent Storms :

• Rapid desertification and Deforrestation due to increasing Population of the Country.
• Depleting Underground water levels and disrupting Rainfalls.
• Cyclonic Circulations from Bay of Bengal.
• Rising temperatures , Global Warming and Clmate change due to heavy Industrialisation and indiscriminate use of Natural Resources.

With Present Conditions and non-Satisfactory results obtained from Policies, the situation would be a recurring feature in Indian Climate.

Way Forward :

• Timely and Area-Specific Warning by Authorities to People via Means of Public Communication.
• Investment in Infrastructure to Purchase Up-to-date Instruments. Several Radars remain Non-Functional adding to losses by Disasters.
• Issuing Clear Guidelines to People about what to do and what to avoid during a Disaster.
• Co-operation and Communication between the Department and Governmental Authorities for better results during A Disaster.
• Mobile Application to ensure Warnings and List of Areas effected along with Clear Guidelines can be issued to people at large via Internet in Local Languages with Familiar Languages.
• Creating Awareness among People about Environmental Degradation and Climate change and how they have adversely affected India. Also Encouraging School Children to Plant 1 Tree every year and to conserve Water.

Natural Disasters are increasing in modern World due to Climate Changes. The need of Hour is to formulate Strategies and Policies to ensure that the warnings are issued before hand and Disasters do not take Human Lives.
