In a big push to clear up the debt ridden national carrier Air India, government recently gave its nod for divesting its 100 per cent stake in Air India’s profitable ground handling arm that is Air India Air Transport Services also known as (AIATSL). Apart from this in a major move to expand the aviation sector the govt has also agreed on 100 percent private participation in the operation, development and managemnt of six airports that is Ahemdabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Guwahati , Thriuvananthapuram and Mnagaluru.
