10 years ago India suffered one of the worst terror attacks on its soil when 10 LeT terrorists launched coordinated shooting and bombing attacks at several locations in the financial capital Mumbai . While nine of the attackers were neutralised after a fierce gun battle with the sDcuroty forces , the 10th one was arrested , tried and four years later hanged for his crimes .

Various measures have been taken by the centre , state govts and security forces to thwart such acts of terror. These include strengthening of border management system , better coordination between security agencies, real time intelligence sharing and swift response mechanism from all agencies involved .
