The eighth edition of the National Science Film Festival of India (NSFFI) was held for the first time in the Northeastern state Assam. The five-day event was organized by Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and the Department of Communication and Journalism, Gauhati University. Renu Negi from Kinnaur bagged the best Science Film award at the 8th National Science Film Festival for her film “Yak: Ship of the Mountain”.
