The Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has successfully test fired the anti-tank missile “Nag” in Rajasthan. The Nag missile is a third generation “fire and forget” anti-tank missile and can be launched from land and air-based platforms (not for naval use). It is equipped with highly advanced Imaging Infrared Radar (IRR) seeker and has integrated avionics technology in its arsenal. It is one of the five missile systems developed by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) under the integrated guided missile development programme (IGMDP).
