A person can be appointed as governor of Two States at a time as per the provisions of seventh constitutional amendment Constitution does not prescribe that president should consult anyone while appointing the Governor but due to the conventions it has been said that the president should consult the chief minister of the concerned state while appointing the Governor. Governor to have fixed term that is 5 years but they can be removed earlier by an executive notification.
