Consider the following statements given about the office of Chief Minister:
1.He does not need to prove his majority in state legislative assembly before being appointed as Chief Minister.
2.He holds office during the pleasure of the Governor.
3.In case of death of Chief Minister the entire council of minister cease to exist.
How many of the above is/are correct ?
Only One
Only Two
All Three
None
He does not need to prove his majority in state legislative assembly before being appointed as Chief Minister. Governor can appoint him on his discretion and gives time of one month to prove his majority in the floor. He holds office during the pleasure of the Governor. But Governor can’t dismiss him as per his whims and fancies. Like the case of Prime Minister, in case of death of Chief Minister the entire council of minister cease to exist.
