It is a Central Sector scheme implemented by Ministry of Rural development.
It has been formed by merger of earlier 2 centrally sponsored schemes : Computerisation of Land Records (CLR) & Strengthening of Revenue Administration and Updating of Land Records (SRA&ULR).
It attempts to build upon the commonalities that exist in the arena of land records in various States to develop an appropriate Integrated Land Information Management System (ILIMS) across the country.The DILRMP has 3 major components:
Computerization of land record
Survey/re-survey
Computerization of Registration.
State Governments will implement the programme by taking district as the unit of implementation.
It will bene fi t citizens in multiple ways as it will enable property owners to have free access to their records along with reduce interface between the citizen and the Government functionaries.
It will help in developing clear land record titles, enabling government to take over land reforms and property holders- easy access to formal fi nancial institutions for credit facility.
