Azad was more supportive of socialist ideas. The Hindustan Republican Association was formed in 1924 to organise an armed revolution. But they became influenced by Socialist ideas. In 1928, under the leadership of Chandra Shekhar Azad, they changed the name of their organisation to the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association. Bhagat Singh wanted to use the court as a forum for revolutionary propaganda after they threw bomb in Parliament. He never made any attempt to be a part of Parliament and use it as a forum for debate and discussion.
