Gonorrhoea is also called clap and is caused by bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae. It is sexually transmitted disease and spreads through unprotected sex. Untreated gonorrhoea can lead to infertility in both sexes besides pelvic inflammatory disease in the women and can be transmitted to the child during pregnancy.
