1st is correct. Right to form a cooperative society is now a fundamental right of the citizens. Article 19 – Protection of certain rights regarding freedom of speech etc. contains provision of citizens’ six specific freedoms: In clause (c) of the clause (1) of this Article: The word “cooperative societies” has been added to this. So the amended clause (c) is as– “(c) to form associations or unions or co-operative societies”. Hence, Right to form a cooperative society is now a fundamental right of the citizens. 2nd is incorrect. The item “Cooperative Societies” is a State Subject in the 7th Schedule via entry 32 of the State List in the Constitution of India. 3rd is correct. Article 43-B inserted by 97th amendment act in 2011 says that state shall endeavour to promote voluntary formation, autonomous functioning, democratic control and professional management of the co-operative societies.
