1,4,5 and 6 only
1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 only
All of the above
The glacier landforms are classified into erosional and depositional landforms. First is correct. 'U' shaped valley which is mature stage of valley formation is a feature of highland glaciation. A U-shaped valley is one of the features created by glaciers as they erode, or wear away, the land that they move through.
Examples of U-valleys are found in mountainous regions like the Alps, Himalaya, Rocky Mountains, Scottish Highlands, Scandinavia, New Zealand and Canada. Second is incorrect because Inselbergs are typical of many desert and semi-arid landscapes formed by wind erosion. Example- Northern Nigeria, Western Australia and Kalahari Desert
Third is also incorrect. A V shaped valley is formed by flowing water, or river valley which is often developed as the river erodes down i.e. called vertical erosion. They are usually found in the mountains and hills. Fourth is correct. Moraines which are feature of glaciated highland are made up of the pieces of rock that are shattered frost action, embedded in the glaciers and brought down the valley.
Fifth is correct. A hanging valley is a shallow valley carved by a small glacier and thus the elevation of the valley floor is "hanging" high above the elevation of the valley floor carved out by the larger glacier. Example- Yosemite Falls, California. Sixth is correct. A pyramidal peak, sometimes in its most extreme form called a glacial horn, is an angular, sharply pointed mountain peak which results from the cirque erosion due to multiple glaciers diverging from a central point. Examples- Mont Blanc, The Matterhorn and Mount Everest. (Corries or cirques are mountain valley heads which have been shaped into deep hollows by the erosion of small glaciers.)
