Which of the following statements about Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is correct?
It is a platform through which a customer can transfer money to another person through a unique UPI ID, or mobile number, or Aadhaar number.
While using the UPI, the customers need not know the IFSC code or other bank account details of the payee.
The interface is based on the Immediate Payment Service platform (IMPS).
All of the above are correct
UPI has been created by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and is line with the RBI’s vision of a cashless and hassles free economy. BHIM (Bharat interface for Money) app has been launched by NPCI for UPI. Apart from the above mentioned features, the UPI is a more secure way of conducting online transactions as there is no account number mapper anywhere other than the customer's own bank.
