Consider the following statements:
1. Brent crude oil is extracted from North Sea
2. Brent Crude Oil is heavier than West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil.
3. Brent crude oil has low sulphur content, 0.37%.
Select the correct code:
1 only
2 and 3 only
None of the above
All of the above
While both Brent and WTI are considered a "light and sweet" grade of crude oil, there are many factors that distinguish the two from one another.
WTI is considered the lighter, sweeter of the two due to its lower sulfuer content and API gravity. The biggest difference between the two is where they are harvested.
Brent essentially draws its oil from more than a dozen oil fields located in the North Sea whereas WTI is restricted to the lands of Texas. For years WTI has been considered the global benchmark of oil prices, until recently.
The Brent crude oil is having around 0.37% Sulphur, which is compartively low.
