A load that uses 100 watts of power ,for example a light bulb , will consume 100 joules of energy every second to produce light ,so when this light bulb is continuously working for 1 hour ,it will consume 100 watt- hour of energy.when it is continuously glowing for 10 hour then it would have consumed 100 watt×10 hour =1000 watt-hour which means 1 kwh or 1 unit of electrical energy.
