Which of the following is correct wrt Electromagnetic waves
created due to periodic change of electric or magnetic field
gamma rays are lowest frequency EM waves.
Xrays are highest frequency EM waves.
None of the above
Electromagnetic waves or EM waves are waves that are created as a result of vibrations between an electric field and a magnetic field. In other words, EM waves are composed of oscillating magnetic and electric fields. The electric field and magnetic field of an electromagnetic wave are perpendicular (at right angles) to each other. They are also perpendicular to the direction of the EM wave.
In short we can say that Electromagnetic radiation or electromagnetic waves are created due to periodic changes of electric or magnetic fields. Depending on how this periodic change occurs and the power generated, different wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum are produced.
The electromagnetic spectrum in order of increasing frequency is - radio waves, microwaves, infrared radiation, visible light, ultraviolet radiation, X-rays and gamma rays.
Note: Gamma rays have the highest energies, the shortest wavelengths, and the highest frequencies. Radio waves, on the other hand, have the lowest energies, longest wavelengths, and lowest frequencies of any type of EM radiation.
Hence option 1st is correct.

answer shall be 3rd option?
EM waves are composed of oscillating magnetic and electric fields. These waves are created due to periodic changes of electric or magnetic fields. Depending on how this periodic change occurs and the power generated, different wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum are produced.
It is option 1st because the electromagnetic spectrum in order of increasing frequency is - radio waves, microwaves, infrared radiation, visible light, ultraviolet radiation, X-rays and gamma rays. Therefore 3rd is incorrect.
