All of the above
Enayam is going to be the 13th major port of India. It will be located near kolachel in Kanniyakumari district. The port has a natural draught of 20 metres that will make it feasible for even larger vessels. Currently about 78% of the marine traffic from the east coast ports of India is trans-shipped to Colombo, Singapore and Klang (Malaysia) as most of Indian ports don’t have a draught to match global cargo handling efficiencies and function as a trans-shipment hub. The Enayam port is supposed to save 1500 crore rupees each year by preventing cargo diversion to other countries.
