National Investment and Manufacturing Zones- The Government of India has announced a National Manufacturing Policy with the objective of enhancing the share of manufacturing in GDP to 25% within a decade and creating 100 million jobs. The National Investment & Manufacturing Zones (NIMZs) are an important instrumentality of the manufacturing policy.

The Technology Acquisition and Development Fund (TADF) Scheme is aimed at facilitating acquisition of clean, green and energy efficient technologies by Micro Small and Medium Enterprises. Make in India initiative is devised to transform India into a global design and manufacturing hub. The TADF Scheme is aligned to Make in India initiative as it supports technology acquisition and development which in turn boosts manufacturing in the country.
