Rudimentary economic planning, deriving from the sovereign authority of the state, was first initiated in India in 1938 by Congress President and Indian National Army supreme leader Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, who had been persuaded by Meghnad Saha to set up a National Planning Committee.
The Lucknow Pact was an agreement reached between the Indian National Congress and the Muslim League at a joint session of both the parties held in Lucknow in December 1916.
The Purna Swaraj declaration (or complete self-rule independent of the British Empire) was promulgatedd by the Indian National Congress on 19 December 1929 in its Lahore session. 26th January 1930 was declared as Purna Swaraj Diwas.
