Statement 1 is not correct: Sugarcane is a low-land tropical, plantation, and cash crop which is grown in the regions having high temperature and heavy rainfall.
This crop is usually grown in regions have monsoonal type of climate. Some major producers include, India, Java, Formosa, Cuba, Jamaica, Trinidad and Barbados. o Jute is another example of low-land tropical, plantation and cash crop which is grown entirely over Ganga-Brahmaputra Delta, in India and Bangladesh.
Statement 2 is not correct: Tea originated in China. Tea and coffee are high-land plantation crops which are cultivated in regions having moderate temperature with heavy rainfall. Both these crops are grown over a highland slope and thrives well in Monsoon type of climate (Higher altitude).
