Our Solar system consists of Planets which were formed in the same period sometime about 4.6 billion years ago. But some difference between the terrestrial and Jovian Planet can be attributed to which of the following conditions:
1. Terrestrial planets were formed in the close vicinity of the parent star whereas the Jovian Planets were formed at a distant location.
2. The terrestrial Planets are smaller and their lower gravity could not hold the escaping gases.
3. The solar wind was most intense nearer the sun hence blew off lots of gases and dust from the terrestrial planets and vice versa.
