Public service commission was introduced in GoI Act 1935.
GoI Act 1919 also known as Indian Councils Act 1919 is famous as Montagu-Chemsford Reforms, named after then Sectretary of State Edwin Montagu and Viceroy Lord Chelmsford.
The Act provided for provincial autonomy, provided dyarchy in provinces, division of subjects bicameralism introduced. It extended separate electorates to sikhs, christians, Anglo-Indians and europeans. Act gave limited adult franchise, based on property, tax and educational level.
