1st statement is incorrect i.e. After the Poona Pact Ambedkar demanded separate electoratesfor depressed classes. The Poona Pact refers to an agreement between B. R. Ambedkar and M. K. Gandhi signed on 24 September 1932 at Yerwada Central Jail in Pune, India. It was signed by Madan Mohan Malviya, Ambedkar and some other leaders as a means to end the fast that Gandhi was undertaking at the jail. He had been protesting the decision by British Prime Minister Ramsay Macdonald to give separate electorates to Dalits for the election of members of provincial legislative assemblies in British India. Its one of the condition was that there shall be seats reserved for the Depressed Classes out of general electorate.
