Gram Nyayalayass Act 2008, provided Nyayalayass for grass root level justice. It is a mobile court, which exercise the powers of civil and criminal courts. It is established for every panchayat at intermeditate level and its seat is located at headquarters of intermediate panchayat. Gram Nyayalayas is a court of Judicial Magistrate of First class and its presiding officer is Nyayadhikari, who is appointed by state government in consultation with High Court.
