1. The Loo is a strong, hot and dry summer wind from the west which blows over the western Indo-Gangetic Plain region of North India and Pakistan.
2. Samoon is the wind blowing in the Kurdistan region of Iran and Iraq and has the characteristics similar to Foehn.
