Art 214 provides High court for each state. However under Art 231 (1) Parliament can establish a common HC for 2 or more states or for 2 or more states and a UT. eg: Bombay; Punjab and Haryana; Guwahati; Hyderabad have jurisdiction of 2 or more states or UTs.
