Consider the following statements
1.All MLAs are representative of people from their constituency.
2.After the election, all MLAs elect their leader who will become the Chief Minister.
Which of the statements given above is/are incorrect?
1 only
2 only
Both 1 and 2
Neither 1 nor 2
The first statement is generally correct. MLAs (Members of the Legislative Assembly) are elected representatives chosen by the people of their constituency to represent their interests and concerns in the legislative process.
The second statement is also generally correct. After the election, the elected MLAs typically belong to a political party, and they collectively elect their leader, who is usually the leader of the party that wins the majority of seats in the legislative assembly. This leader then becomes the Chief Minister.

In the 2nd statement, the word "elect" their leader is certainly wrong, as there are no elections amongst the MLAs to be the CM, rather it's a choice and a selection, not an election.
