Assertion (A): Blue light can travel longer distances without appreciable loss by scattering than any other coloured light.

Reason (R): Blue light has the highest wavelength in the visible spectrum of light. In the context of the above, which of these is correct?

Red, having the higher wavelength is the least scattered. So, it can travel longer distances without appreciable loss by scattering than any other colored lights.
Also, we inherently perceive red colour associated with danger. Colours such as blue are scattered most and not visible from a distance.
For e.g. we see sky as blue because the colour blue is scattered most by the atmosphere. Thus regarding blue colour , the reverse is true.
