Articles 153 to 167 in Part VI of the Constitution deal with the state executive. Executive of state: Governor; CM; Advocate General of state and CoMs.
Governor is appointed by President. His tenure is of 5 years but is subject to pleasure of President. His emoluments are determined by Parliament. When same person is appointed as Governor of 2 or more states, the meoluments are shared by states in a proportion as determined by President.
High Court judges are appointed by President.
Governor appoints district judges in consultation with the state high court. He appoints chairman and members of SPSC but they are removed only by President. Governor also appoints persons to judicial services of state in consultation with state high court and SPSC.
