How does the election of the Vice-President differ from that of the President?

President is elected by single transferrable vote system, but Vice- President is elected based on First Past the post system (FPPS).
Electoral College of the Vice-President does not include the members of the state legislative assemblies, whereas they are included in the case of President.
Union Territories do not participate in the election of the Vice- President, unlike that of the President.

S2 and 3: Like the president, VP is elected not directly by the people but by the method of indirect election. But, the Electoral College of VP is different from the Electoral College for the President in the following two respects:
