Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO)

It is a permanent intergovernmental international organization and was created in 2001.
It’s a Eurasian political, economic and military organization aiming to maintain peace, security and stability in the region.
The Shanghai Five grouping was created with the signing of the Treaty by the heads of states of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan in 1996.
