 Recently, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has released its Food Safety report for 2019-20.

• The Food Safety Index was released on World Food Safety Day under the theme Theme: Food Safety is everyone business. 
• The theme was dedicated to persons that were in supply chain and ensured uninterrupted availability of safe food during the lock down. 
• The index ranks states on five parameters of food safety: human resources and institutional data, compliance, food testing facility, training and capacity building besides consumer empowerment.
• As per the FSSAI statement, the three states Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra have topped in the list of larger states on the index. While Goa came first followed by Meghalaya and Manipur in smaller states. Among the Union territories, Delhi, Chandigarh, and the Andaman Islands have secured the top ranks. Hence both statements are correct.
